Mike Tyquin

Mike has had a significant impact on the evolution and growth of outdoor within Australia, since his start in the industry on the 1st of July, 1959 with the purchase of a run down poster display company for $5,000; after acquiring several smaller poster companies during the 60’s, he sold the business in 1970 into the overseas consortium which became Australian Posters (later known as APN) - fulfilling the role of State Director for the next decade.

In 1983 Mike co-founded goa Billboards, with his then business partner, the late George Savage, using the then new technologies which saw the introduction of digitally printed vinyl skins that allowed a production quality not previously obtainable. Today, goa is Queensland’s largest billboard and signage company and launched Australia’s first digital billboard network in 2009.

Brian Tyquin

Brian founded Outdoor Plus in 1986 and is an Australian owned outdoor advertising billboard company, operated by the Tyquin family that now operates as Outdoor Systems.

Brian has been involved in the billboard industry for over 50 years as a senior executive, media owner and consultant. Brian has been a board member of the Outdoor Advertising Association of Australia, now the OMA, for over 30 years. During this time Brian has been the National President, State Chair, Chairman of the Legislative Committee and is now actively involved in the Regulatory Affairs Committee.
